Yoga Teacher
I have always had an interest in staying in shape and in 1991 I qualified as a fitness instructor / personal trainer. In 1993 I chose to head off into the wide world to teach on board cruise liners and run the fitness centres. Towards the end of 2000 I relocated to India to be trained in Yoga at one of the Sivananda ashrams. I returned to the UK in 2001 and set up as a freelance Yoga teacher. Since then I have continued my professional development through different schools and teachers.
I'm passionate about being sure that my classes are enjoyable, informative and accessible for as many people as possible. It's not about being able to hold the perfect visual posture but about finding a position in the posture that nurtures and engages you, not steals from you and strains you. Think about it as a journey and don't be too focussed on the destination. Enjoy taking in the vista and you may arrive sooner than you think.
Qualifications:-
La Fit Diploma (now Premier Global)
Sivananda Yoga Diploma
British Wheel of Yoga Diploma
REPS level 3
City and Guilds A1 Assessor
